Aqua Mix Grout Deep Clean, which has been sold on Amazon, has been recalled due to lack of child-resistant packaging.

Grout cleaner, candy, frozen waffles, bikes and dumbbells are among some of the products that have been recalled in Canada in the past week.

Aqua Mix Grout Deep Clean, which has been sold on Amazon, has been recalled due to a lack of child-resistant packaging.

The recalled products do not meet the child-resistant packaging requirements required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.

Health Canada says this type of chemical product is capable of burning eyes or skin.

“The lack of child-resistant packaging could result in unintentional exposure to these products and lead to serious illness or injury including death,” the health agency wrote in its recall notice.

As of Oct. 16, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

This recall involves Aqua Mix — Grout Deep Clean which can be identified by UPC: 718704000102 and item number: C010530-4. The company reported that 24,236 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between 2019 and October 2024.

Health Canada issued a recall notice for the Devinci Chainsaw and Chainsaw DH alloy bikes due to an “injury hazard” on Oct. 30. The company reported 500 units of the affected bikes were sold in Canada from March 2023 to July 2024.

Health Canada says as of Oct. 28, no injuries have been reported by the company.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled the Haribo brand Tangfastics gummy candies due to possibly containing “pieces of wood.”

The CFIA issued the recall on Oct. 23 and confirmed pieces of wood were found both loose in the bag and partly stuck in the candy. The affected candy has a best before date of June 25, 2025.

The PowerBlock Commercial Pro 100 adjustable dumbbell system has been recalled due to impact injury hazard. Health Canada issued the recall notice on Oct. 24, telling people to "immediately stop using” it.

This recall involves the five-pound grip handles that are part of the PowerBlock Commercial Pro 100 adjustable dumbbell system (Model No. 340-00656-00; UPC Code 340-00656-00) (the “5 lb Handles”). The grip handles allow users to add or remove weight plates to customize resistance for strength training. The affected five pound handles can be identified by their black design with a knurled grip and silver decal that identifies weights in the increments of five, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85 and 95 pounds.

Health Canada says it should be noted the 10 pound grip handles included in the PowerBlock Commercial Pro 100 set, with red decals listing weights in increments of 10, are not affected — only the five pound grip handles included with the Commercial Pro 100 set are included in this recall.

The company identified a potential safety hazard associated with the five-pound grip handle that, when used with weight loads exceeding 55 pounds, could lead to the injury of the user’s arm.

As of Oct. 15, the company has received no incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received four incident reports and no reports of injuries.

The company reported eight units of the affected products were sold in Canada and 1,845 were sold in the United States between March 2023 and August 2024.

Consumers should immediately stop using the five pound grip handles and contact PowerBlock Inc. to receive replacement decals and a replacement handle.

The Country Traditions Frozen Food Outlet brand Homestyle Waffles has been recalled along with hundreds of other frozen waffle and pancake products over possible listeria contamination, which has been linked to a Brantford facility.

That recall notice was issued on Oct. 28. Another recall related to waffles sold at Whole Foods was issued on Oct. 25.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says a Brantford factory has been shut down and no production will take place until corrective measures have been implemented.

Health Canada warns baby walkers sold on eBay.ca may pose a risk of injury in a consumer product advisory posted on Friday, Oct. 25.

Health Canada says the products have been removed from sale online from eBay.ca. Health Canada has contacted the foreign third-party sellers and is advising consumers to immediately stop using them.

eBay.ca reported that 20 units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
